#1 What is your personal Style when it comes to design:

I love monochromatic with a hint of chic - anything from French, Belgian and Swedish design!

#2 What is your one must item for a room?

I love at least one fabulous heirloom piece that can be handed down from one generation to another.  This can be a great antique piece or a fabulous painting etc...

#3 Who is your favorite designer?

I have so many favorites when it comes to interior designers!

But I have to say my top designers are:  Lisa Luby Ryan, Windsor Smith, Bobby Mcalpine and Darryl Carter

#4 What is your favorite room to decorate?

I'm a little boring - but I love to decorate living rooms!

I love bringing friends and family into my living room to just sit and talk, so it's of extreme importance that the living room is done well!

#5 What is your biggest pet peeve in design?

I don't like clutter - spaces that are over thought and over decorated!

Less is more!

#6 What is your favorite piece of furniture?

I LOVE my Mora Clock... it's that piece that I look at from time to time to make me happy!

#7 Are you in your dream home and if not what's your dream home like?

I have had several people ask me this question.  Many people thought that my last home was my dream home - honestly I don't sit around and dream of homes, I just build because I love the creative process.  I can truly be happy anywhere and I do know that dream homes are not the answer to happiness.  Right now I'm building my final home!  It's not extremely large or fancy, it's a French country cottage and it does say a lot about what my husband and I love. 

I'm excited to show the final project to you this June!

#8  If you could only have two rooms in your home which would they be?

It would be a kitchen connected to a small sitting area and a cozy bedroom

#9 Why did you start blogging?

Honestly - because my husband got tired of me showing him pictures and talking to him about interior design.  So thanks to all of you I'm not lonely.

#10 Do you have any hidden talents we don't know about?

My whole life I studied music not interior design.  My dad was a builder most of my life, so I was able to see the creative building process - never did I think I would be building or designing homes.

From the age of nine I started playing the cello; I then went on to graduate from Brigham Young's School of Music in Cello Performance.  I'm able to do professional recordings here and there which I love!!

#11  Do you have a pet and if so tell us about the other person who shares your home?

Debra would not like this answer, but unfortunately I don't have any animals.  I have had allergies since I was little and my husband and kids are angry till this day!
